How do you stop woodpecker from pecking at your house?

a annoying woodpecker is not only waking me up every morning but it also going to make a hole, i didn’t even know woodpeckers live in California… well its really high up so i cant really go up there with a ladder and fix the problem that fast

    Short of killing the wood pecker it is difficult. Some will be scared off by using a false owl close to the hole. I have covered the hole with a piece of tin and sometimes that discourages them, but often they just move to another spot.

    i get that from time to time here in Florida, but seldom. If it happens often, it’s pecking after something, you may have termites or some other infestation. Might consider a service, Terminex or some such.

    if it’s pecking at a window then put a stuffed animal at the window. if it’s a part of the house buy a fake owl and put it somewhere where it’s pecking. there was this one bird that kept pecking at our house and we put the fake owl up and it never came back.

    get a 12 gauge shotgun and blast every living you see, expect for the woodpecker. Then catch it rips it head off with your teeth and sacrifice the dead body to the god Atesgri. Finally then call the police and say your dog molested you.

    You have bugs underneath the siding. Any exterminator will have the stuff to kill them.
